A consent banner appears on your first visit. It runs on this site’s own server, your decision is stored on your own device, and nothing is sent to an outside consent service. You can reopen it at any time through the preferences control to change your answer.
What this site does not do
Visitor statistics are collected with Umami, which runs on this site’s own server. It sets no cookies at all and does not store your IP address. Push notifications set no cookies either. Google Analytics was removed in September 2026, Brevo’s visitor-tracking script was switched off, and embedded content from X (Twitter) was removed — none of them run here any more.

Cookies that record your own decision
Once you answer the banner, a small set of cookies beginning with wpconsent_ and wp_consent_ is stored on your device. They exist only to remember what you chose, so you are not asked again on every page. They contain no identifier and are never sent to a third party.
Cookies set only if you act
- Commenting — if you tick the box, your name, email and website are saved in your own browser for a year so you do not have to type them again.
- Logging in — if you have an account, WordPress sets session and preference cookies. These are removed when you log out.
- Support buttons — Buy Me a Coffee and Ko-fi set their own cookies only if you use them.
Advertising
This site is applying to Google AdSense. The advertising code is present so that Google can review the site, but no advertisements are being served yet. When they are, your answer to the banner is passed to Google: decline, and advertising is limited to non-personalised ads with no profile built from your visit.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies through its own settings, and blocking them here will not stop you reading the site. Because the statistics used on this site do not rely on cookies, refusing them does not change what is measured — and nothing about you is stored either way.
